It's a strange time to be living at the moment!
Easter is this weekend. By now my family would have chosen who is hosing and would be planning Easter breakfast and lunch! I've won that 3 times. Easter decorations and games is a bit of healthy competition! But that's not happening at all this year. Who knows dining courtesy of house party might be the way to go this year!
Me, I am fine. Thanks for asking. Half way through week 1 of lockdown my phone died. Literally after thinking it's not so bad, I've got my phone to keep in touch with people. I survived almost 1.5 weeks without a phone - my brother kindly sent me an old one. But in reality, I didn't really feel as disconnected as I thought I would.
Especially, after having a conversation with someone else who was struggling. Being alone, not having the contact they would usually and going nuts within their four walls. This person is a stranger to me. They reached out so I had to help them. In a healthy boundary way. So I thought I would share some ideas with you.
The thing I'm doing is keeping a good balance between working on my business and allowing myself to have playtime... oh trying to find a new level of enjoyment for cooking. Because I have a love hate relationship with it. So far, I've batched cooked a couple of curries and over-toasted my favourite Granola. You know what I'm craving right now - a cheese and tomato toasty!
If you are struggling to deal with a lack of usual routine, then keeping your mind occupied is important. This is important if you have a habit of beating yourself up. Make sure you do your one outing of exercise a day. Moving your body shifts your energy and helps you stay in more of a high vibration. Spending time out in the garden or nature helps you stay grounded.
Choose a hobby or new skill you have wanted to learn. There many online schools and it's amazing what you can learn on YouTube. Use your creativity to balance your sacral chakra and bring you new ideas. Trying new things helps bring new experiences in to your life!
Pick up an instrument or something you haven't done for years. What were you passionate about when you were younger? Connect to your inner child. Playing helps and if your inner child is happy, you're less likely to feel fear when you try something new.
I'm open to watching box sets, just not a whole day binge on them. I used to enjoy Greys Anatomy when I was younger however stopped around season 5 or 6 because you know life. So, at the moment my reward for doing my to do list is watching a couple of episodes after dinner.
Then there's all the jobs around the house that you've been meaning to do. Fix this and that. It's also a great time for a spring clean. It doesn't matter if you are a hoarder, over-sentimental of stuff or own a show home. Clutter Clearing can do you the world of good. It can even help you manifest the things you want into your life. If you want to know more about how that works then check out Clutter Clearing Journeys.
Plan things to do for when we are out of lockdown. Take the time to get clear on what you want to do. If you weren't happy with your job, why? what do you need in order for you to enjoy it more? If haven't had a holiday yet - where would you like to go. If you are.
Catch up with people you haven't spoken to in a while via telephone or video chat. Do you remember when people used to call each other before texting was a thing?
What ever it is that keeps you occupied, please stay safe xxx
